  • Future New Home

This is the place I'll be living at, starting at the end of this month. This is to entice you guys to come visit me. It's 1.5 miles from work and I will probably walk or bike to work.

    The jacuzzi and pool

    The tennis courts

My studio is going to look like this minus the furniture. It has built-in dressers and a desk. And a gianormous mirror to make this dinky 405 sq ft studio look a lot bigger.

And the bed folds down from the wall!

The other perks to this place is that it has complimentary breakfast every morning, happy hours on Thursdays, free tennis pro lessons, on-site dry-cleaning, a business center, free cable, rental cars, exercise rooms, and package receiving service (I can get my packages at any time!).

  • Going Away Party

I've been trying to think of a way to say good-bye to all my friends in LA and to also celebrate my finishing of school. So, after talking to some folks, I have this idea. I'd like to go out to dinner with small groups of friends, each time with a different group to a different restaurant. These restaurants are ones that are my favorites in LA or ones I have yet to try.

    Here's my list:
    1. The Counter
    2. Father's Office
    3. Sushi Sasabune
    4. Sushi King
    5. Versaille's
    6. Tahoe Korean BBQ
    7. Roy's
    8. Spago
    9. Ruth Chris
    10. Mandarin Deli
    11. Shamshiri Grill
    12. Yamashiro

So if you want to hang out with me in my last month in LA, choose a restaurant, and a date. And if you can't make it, I'll have an open house party at my apartment on 12/20 where you can drop by anytime during the day so I can say goodbye to you. More details to follow on that.

  • Napa Day 4

    Lunch
    Napa Valley Marriott
    Burgers
Grade: D (I'm getting tired of this cheap food given by the conference)

    Dinner
    Bouchon
Black cod served cauliflower and fingerling potatoes served with a butter sauce and some kind of dried fruit
    Pomme frites
Grade: A+ (amazing presentation and very moist fish, great service)

  • Napa Day 3

    Lunch
    Napa Valley Marriott
    Deli sandwiches
    Grade: C

    Dinner
    Julia's Kitchen at COPIA
Copia Garden Salad: goat cheese, cherry tomatoes, red wine vinaigrette, basil oil, focaccia croutons
Pan Roasted Fulton Valley Farms Organic Chicken Breast: roasted garden potatoes with COPIA herbs, sauteed winter squash with gremolata, marjoram jus
Lemo Souffle: vanilla, spiced huckleberry compote
Grade: D (I expected a lot more from Julia's kitchen and I got a soggy salad, dry chicken, and sloppy presentation)
